Yamanashi Prefecture, with a total population of 830,000 people and approximately 3,500 married couples, is a relatively small market. However, even before establishing a store location in that market, our company already holds a market share of 3% (*) in the prefecture due to its good travel links to the western parts of Tokyo and the Nagano and Matsumoto areas. In addition, with the Chuo Expressway and Route 20 running east-west, and the Chubu Odan Expressway running north-south, all the major cities of Yamanashi Prefecture are covered by convenient road networks. We have therefore situated our new store location in Kofu, located at the heart of this extensive transport network, in order to make the store easily accessible from everywhere in the prefecture through a journey of less than an hour. In order to expand our market share within Yamanashi Prefecture, we have situated our new I-PRIMO Kofu Store at a roadside location that is approximately 10 minutes by car to the southwest of JR Kofu Station, and approximately 3 minutes by car from Route 20 and the Kofu Showa Interchange on the Chuo Expressway.

According to the Automobile Inspection & Registration Information Association (AIRIA) “Number of Vehicles by Prefecture & Model” 2015 report, the number of car owners per 1,000 people in Yamanashi Prefecture is the fifth highest nationwide, and the prefecture is said to be one of the leading “car societies” in Japan. The new store opening will be a stand-alone location on a road that leads to Yamanashi Prefecture’s largest commercial facility and is surrounded by various roadside eating and drinking establishments. In addition to the benefits of this high-visibility location, we expect to attract more new customers due to the variety of wedding venues located in the area. Inside the store, three spacious private booths have been set up so that our customers can select the bridal jewelry that will become a memory to last a lifetime at their own relaxed pace with the personal support of our staff, who make recommendations based on each customer’s individual requests.

(*) Calculated based on the number of existing customers resident in Yamanashi Prefecture divided by the number of married couples in Yamanashi Prefecture.
