We run bridal jewelry specialty stores throughout Japan.We want to expand the circle of smiling faces throughout all regions and contribute to making local towns and cities places where happiness spreads.

We are also engaging in environmental conservation activities in order to hand down to future generations the abundant, natural scenery that we enjoy today.

We have engaged in clean-up activities in the areas around our headquarters and store branch locations since June 2008. Clean-ups have become a familiar part of our CSR activities and, judging by the smiling face born out of casual conversations between our employees and local people, they are also an opportunity for valuable community exchanges. We strive to continue showing our appreciation for the communities in which we live through these activities.In addition, as marine pollution caused by plastic waste has gained an increased amount of global attention, we are also strengthening our efforts to clean up beaches in various locations.

◆Nishikinohama Beach Park, Osaka (September 2018)

Located in Kaizuka City in southern Osaka, Nishikinohama Beach is known for its white sand beaches and green pine trees, earning it a place among “Japan’s Top 100 Beaches for Picturesque Scenery” because of these features. Twenty-four of our employees based in the Kansai area participated in clean-up activities here. In addition to the dazzling white sand of the beach, our volunteers also found a large amount of litter underfoot left over from summer fireworks and violent typhoon. They managed to fill six large garbage bags in just one hour of work.

 

◆Iso Beach Resort, Kagoshima (June 2018)

Iso Beach Resort is a popular beach that faces magnificent Sakurajima. In June 2018, four employees from the I-PRIMO Kagoshima store took part in clean-up activities sponsored by the city of Kagoshima in support of the government-backed “Marine Environmental Conservation and Promotion Month” held in June each year. Volunteers collected not only waste that seemed to have washed ashore from abroad, but also cigarette butts, and many other kinds of litter. Through these efforts, volunteers were able to return the beach to its naturally beautiful state ahead of the summer beach season.

Mt. Fuji is a symbol of Japan that is an integral part of the Primo Global Holdings logo. Since 2013, in cooperation with the NPO Mt.Fuji Club, volunteers have continued to gather each year to collect litter around the site of Mt. Fuji. In 2018, in order to preserve Mt. Fuji’s unique ecosystems, volunteers began a comprehensive environmental conservation initiative, which includes activities such as eliminating invasive foreign plant species in addition to collecting litter. Over the past six years, volunteers have collected more than 1 ton of litter, which has helped them to realize the true power of continuity. As we come to realize that human activities are deeply integrated with our natural surroundings, we want to continue working to make Mt. Fuji a beautiful place forever.

Workplace Learning Experience Programs for Junior High School Students

Vocational work experience activities are often held in the second year of junior high school at schools nationwide in order for students to experience actual work and gain insight into their future career plans. We have designed an original program that not only fosters conscientious effort and an understanding of the requirements of the job, but also communicates the appeal of “marriage”, “proposals”, and “bridal jewelry”. We have been proactively promoting this program throughout Japan since 2014. We have received wonderful feedback from participants, who say thinks like “I want to work with jewelry”, or “I now want to do a proposal!”
