Primo Japan is pleased to announce that our I-PRIMO Grand Canal Place Store will be renewed and re-opened as the I-PRIMO Hangzhou Hubin Yintai in77 Store on August 1, 2020.

◆in77: The Hubin area’s standout large-scale shopping complex

Located about an hour by high-speed rail to the southwest of Shanghai, the city of Hangzhou has a population of over 9.4 million people (*) as of 2018. Although Hangzhou was once a major ancient capital famous for its scenic West Lake, the city is also now home to numerous global tech companies, making it one of China’s leading commercial cities. In77, the site of our company’s latest store re-opening, is situated adjacent to the lakeside area that is popular with tourists on the eastern shore of West Lake. Since it opened in 2011, in77 has housed many global brands and has seen growth in sales year after year, making it a standout large-scale shopping complex in the Hubin area. Of in77’s five sections, we are re-opening beside the main entrance on the first (ground) floor of section C, where many jewelry brands have opened stores. Situated among global apparel, cosmetics and jewelry brands, we are proud to offer customers Japan’s famously high standards of product quality and, of course, conscientious service and hospitality through our I-PRIMO brand.

◆Leveraging store renewals to further expand our business in China

The I-PRIMO Grand Canal Place Store, our fourth store location in Mainland China when it opened in September 2017, has grown to become the store boasting the largest sales in China. For three months from April 2020, we opened a pop-up store at in77 to increase customer awareness and proactively target customers prior to the re-opening of the new store location. Order numbers have already been extremely strong at the pop-up store alone, and we expect that the official re-opening of this store location will only boost sales further.
