On Friday, February 2, 2018, PRIMO Japan Inc. is opening its I-PRIMO Umeda HERBIS ENT Store inside “HERBIS PLAZA ENT”, one of the major shopping centers in Umeda area, Kita-ku, Osaka.

The area around JR Osaka Station in Osaka’s Kita Ward, also known as the Umeda area, has undergone major redevelopment in recent years, and it is expected that this commercial area will continue to expand steadily in the future. Since 2003, we have operated our "I-PRIMO Umeda Store” in the Chayamachi district of the Umeda area, which is particularly popular with young people. (As of 2/2/2018, the name will change to “I-PRIMO Umeda Chayamachi Store”.) In order to further expand our market share and reach more customers in northern Osaka, we have decided to move to a two-store system for this area.

 

Also, because the characteristics of shoppers coming to each part of the Umeda area differ, we have chosen the Nishi Umeda district on the opposite side of Chayamachi directly across from JR Osaka Station as our second Umeda store location. This new store will be in “HERBIS ENT”, a high-end commercial complex with The Ritz-Carlton Osaka and Osaka Shiki Theater located on the upper floors, along with numerous international luxury brand stores on site. The atmosphere of high quality and luxury at HERBIS ENT makes it especially popular among sophisticated women. With wedding dress boutiques and a number of other jewelry stores within the complex, we can expect to attract customers shopping for bridal merchandise.

 

At I-PRIMO Umeda HERBIS ENT, working within the site specifications of an urban-style store, we have created a floorplan that features our usual face-to-face seating arrangements for the customer service space, along with a semi-circular front-of-house display counter for customers to browse freely. This new style of store incorporates design features that make it easier than ever for customers to visit and, at the same time, allows us to respond effectively to the needs and requests of our customers.
