Primo Japan Inc., announces that, as a part of its CSR activities titled "PRIMO RING PROJECT", a clean-up activity was held on May 31 along the Tokai Nature Trail, in Asagiri Highland (Fujinomiya city, Shizuoka Prefecture) on the Western foot of Mt.Fuji.

Our corporate logotype includes not only "people" and "people’s relationship" by using a kanji character "人" but also the beautiful scenery of Mt.Fuji, as a symbol of Japan, reflected on the surface of water to describe that we develop our global business with the concept of “Omotenashi”, a Japanese way of hospitality. We have participated in annual clean-up activities of Mt. Fuji since 2013 in collaboration with Fujisan (Mt.Fuji) Club, a Nonprofit Organization.


 

Fifteen of voluntary members from our shops and offices throughout Japan participated in our fifth clean-up activity of Mt. Fuji and finally collected about as much litter as twenty large plastic bags. When we walked into the forest around the Tokai Nature Trail, we found old cans, bottles, ruined building materials and so on. Just next to those litters, we also found rich nature of Mt. Fuji: natural spring pond as well as footsteps of wild animals. "We should keep it in our mind that our life is always next to rich nature”, an official of Fujisan Club said. We all hope that no litter is found in and around Mt. Fuji in future, and will continue the clean-up event until the it comes true.
