PRIMO JAPAN Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of two new online stores specializing in bridal jewelry this spring. The I-PRIMO Online Store will open in March, followed by the Lazare Diamond Boutique Online Store in April.

As a once-in-a-lifetime purchase, bridal jewelry (engagement rings and wedding rings) is something that takes time to consider and compare options. As such, it is primarily sold through face-to-face customer service in retail stores. At the same time, diversification in our customers' lifestyle and values has meant that each year we receive more and more feedback from customers such as, "I don’t have time to shop during business hours," and "I prefer to compare and consider options on my own (or as a couple)."

 

In 2014, our company lead the industry by opening our first online "Bridal Jewelry Store," allowing customers to purchase bridal jewelry online supported by specialist online customer service staff. As of December 2016, online sales have risen steadily to nearly twice the previous year's results, our conscientious telephone and email customer support system has received high praise. Meanwhile, the awareness of each of PRIMO JAPAN's main brands, "I-PRIMO" and "Lazare Diamond Boutique" has also improved. From the perspective of customer convenience and our existing omni-channel marketing strategy, the need for an official e-commerce site specific to each brand name has become increasingly clear.

 

It is against this backdrop that we announce the opening of an online store for "I-PRIMO" on Thursday, March 30th and the "Lazar Diamond Boutique" on Tuesday, April 25. Both e-commerce sites will be operated alongside our traditional "Bridal Jewelry Store," which will be re-positioned as a bridal jewelry select shop offering shorter delivery times and a careful selection of bridal jewelry focusing on the exclusive online brand "SELEXIA."

 

As for our e-commerce business going forward, we plan to expand further by developing additional target groups and product lines. With regards to product line expansion, in addition to engagement rings and wedding rings, we will also strive to strengthen CRM by introducing products using high-quality diamonds such as necklaces, clip-on and pierced earrings for life events such as anniversaries or the birth of a child.
