(Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Naoki Sawano) are pleased to announce the first collaboration between Prince Hotels and Primo Japan’s I-PRIMO bridal jewelry specialty stores, the Prince Hotels x I-PRIMO “Marry Me?” Premium Proposal package. The package, which will be on sale between March 7 (Wednesday) and May 31 (Thursday), 2012, will offer men who purchase their engagement rings at an I-PRIMO store the opportunity to pop the question in the dreamlike atmosphere of a Prince Hotel chapel (some hotels excluded), along with a full-course dinner at a hotel restaurant, all provided by Prince Hotels’ expert wedding planners and service staff.
While many women long to be proposed to in a dramatic fashion, according to a survey of married women, many of them, in fact, never felt as though they were properly proposed to. However, a February 2012 Primo Japan survey of unmarried men’s attitudes towards proposing revealed that, while about 80% of the men surveyed hoped to have some kind of surprise propose or special touch ready for the moment when they pop the question, about 50% of them said they would find it somewhat of a challenge to make the necessary preparations for the big day on their own.
Given this situation Primo Japan, which sells engagement rings, and Prince Hotels, which handles weddings, decided to work together to come up with a service that responds to the wishes of both men and women. The result is this new offer, which combines engagement ring purchases with a hotel proposal experience designed by Prince Hotels wedding planners and service staff. When the proposal is a success, the Prince Hotels and I-PRIMO staff involved will present the couple with an original photo frame and personalized message, marking the day of the proposal as the first page in the couple’s new life together. Prince Hotels and I-PRIMO are there to give men the little extra encouragement they need, in the hopes of allowing even just one more couple to experience the unforgettable thrill of a formal marriage proposal.
