The “More Proposal Plan” is different from what couples do before they get married. It is a new way of proposing once again from husband to wife on the fifth, tenth, or other anniversary years.

In June 2009, I-PRIMO did a survey about “Memories of Your Marriage Proposal.” When asked, “Given the chance, would you re-do your marriage proposal?”, 54% of married women answered “Yes” or “Probably Yes”. For the question, “Do you have any regrets about your marriage proposal?”, 62% of married women answered, “I wanted a surprise or something a little more planned out.” We also asked married men the reason why they did not give their fiancée an engagement ring at the time; 43% of respondents said it was because of financial issues. From these results, we discovered that, even today with the so-called “konkatsu” (marriage seeking) boom still going, there were many married women who would re-do their marriage proposal once again if they could, as would many married men who could not realize their ideal proposal for various reasons the first time around.

H.I.S. will begin this campaign with “More Proposal in Maldives” as their first project. “More Proposal in Maldives” takes place in “Soneva Gili,” one of the resorts from the Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas. (Six Senses was established following a gift that founder Sonu Shivdasani gave to his beloved wife, Eva.) All rooms are gorgeous suites, and guests get to stay in two-storey cottages raised above the water and located at the end of piers that reach out into the ocean from the island. As a special bonus, we have arranged for a private dinner served by a personal butler for couples on the “More Proposal Plan” to enjoy in a private gazebo one night during their trip. Even couples with small children can enjoy dinner without worrying. Such a romantic situation, surrounded by the sea and the sky full of stars, is sure to make saying the words of appreciation to each other, and the giving of a ring, easier to say than ever.

I-PRIMO, using its primary strength as a diamond specialty store, has gathered a selection of rings for their “More Proposal Ring Collection,” based on the choices of 311 married women selecting rings out of I-PRIMO’s most popular and beloved diamond rings. We hope that this selection will support the husband in choosing a ring for his wife.
