Primo Global Holdings Co., Ltd. will be sponsoring Tokyo Rainbow Pride 2024 (Friday, April 19 to Sunday, April 21, 2024), organized by the NPO Tokyo Rainbow Pride.

◆Background Behind Sponsorship

Based on Primo Japan Holdings’ company philosophy of “Making Primo (the best) dreams into Primo (supreme) happiness,” and our wish to make the dreams of as many people as possible come true and for them to be happy, in 2009, we launched the Primo Ring Project, a company-wide CSR project through which we carry out various activities every year. In 2018, inspired by a member of the Primo Ring Project, we eliminated gendered labels from bridal rings in favor of gender-neutral descriptions, implemented LGBTQ+ e-learning training for all employees, and hosted lectures by members of the LGBTQ+ community to foster understanding within the company and create a more inclusive work environment.

Thanks to these continuous efforts, Primo has been awarded the Gold rating in the PRIDE Index 2023, an index that assesses LGBTQ+ initiatives in the workplace created by the organization Work With Pride, for three years in a row.

Our sponsorship of Tokyo Rainbow Pride 2024, the theme of which is "We won’t give up until things change," marks the fourth time since 2021 that we have sponsored this event, which started with the Primo Ring Project.

◆About the Primo Ring Project, a Cross-Departmental CSR Effort

The Primo Ring Project consists of voluntary, passionate members who have volunteered from across the nation to proactively promote our CSR efforts. Every year, the members themselves carry out activities based on four principles, managing everything from brainstorming to execution and in-house awareness-raising. As each member’s efforts accumulate, a circle of joy (= ring) spreads from our employees to include the local community, business partners, and customers. Since 2018, we have also worked on efforts aligned with global standards, keeping the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in mind.
