Through Primo Japan Inc.’s original brand I-PRIMO, we are proud to announce our co-sponsorship of TRP2021, organized by the NPO Tokyo Rainbow Pride. (Event dates:2021/04/24 (Sat.) ~ 2021/05/5 (Wed・Holiday))

◆Sponsorship Background
Based on our company philosophy of offering “PRIMO (the best) dreams for PRIMO (supreme) happiness”, and from our desire to fulfill the dreams of as many people as possible by helping them express their happiness in the shape of a ring, we at Primo Japan established our CSR initiative, the PRIMO RING PROJECT in 2009. The PRIMO RING PROJECT is a company-wide initiative that continues to carry out various activities each year. Our LGBT-related activities include removing gender-specific sizing terms such as “Men’s” and “Women’s”, along with abbreviations indicating Men’s (M) and Ladies (L) products on our official company website in Japan from 2018, and also modified our order forms for customers ordering wedding rings to eliminate the field specifying gender.
Also, since April 2020, we have been working to promote understanding of LGBT issues within the company by conducting e-training for employees on systems relating to spouses and families of employees, which have been changed so that they are accessible to all employees regardless of proof of relationship or other documentation. In November 2020, Primo Japan was awarded “Silver” by PRIDE Index 2020(※1), which evaluates companies’ LGBT initiatives based on the organization’s “Work with Pride” criteria. We decided to co-sponsor this year’s TRP2021 in support of the event theme: “Speak up. Change the world. Our Voices. Our Rights.”

“Representation: Fostering LGBT communities” Index

“Inspiration: Awareness Activities” Index

“Development: HR Systems & Programs” Index

“Engagement/Empowerment: Social Contributions / Public Relations” Index
