Environmental Conservation Activities

Clean-up activities across the country

In June 2008, we started cleaning up the areas around our headquarters and stores. We are carrying out this activity all over the country as one of our familiar social contribution activities. This activity naturally brings smiles to the faces of local people through conversations, and is also a valuable opportunity for community interaction, leading to a rediscovery of the charms of the area. We will continue this activity in various places in the future, as a sign of our gratitude to the local communities in which we work.

Mt. Fuji Nature Conservation Activities

Mount Fuji, a symbol of Japan, is depicted in the logo of Primo Global Holdings. Since 2013, volunteers from all over Japan have been gathering together to pick up trash in the areas surrounding Mount Fuji every year with the cooperation of the NPO "Fujisan Club."
Starting in fiscal 2018, in order to protect the unique ecosystem of Mt. Fuji, in addition to picking up trash, we also began removing invasive plants that have a high reproductive rate, and began a comprehensive environmental conservation initiative. Over the course of six years, we have collected over one ton of trash, and all of our members have realized that "persistence is power." While realizing that human activities are side by side with the richness of nature, we hope that Mt. Fuji will remain beautiful forever, and we will continue our activities in the future.

Recycling Activities

Our group supports the activities of "Iikoto Ship -ECO to SHIP-" which supports children in financial difficulty both in Japan and overseas, and collects and donates old clothes, toys, stuffed animals, and other unwanted items twice a year. By making effective use of items that are no longer in use, it leads to eco-friendly activities, job creation, and support for developing countries. In addition, 100 yen is donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society for each box, and has been used for disaster relief efforts so far.
In addition, we participated in the "Eco Project" run by "eyecity," a contact lens specialty store operated by HOYA Corporation, and called on employees nationwide to collect empty contact lens cases, which contain polypropylene, a material that pollutes the environment. By diligently recycling items that have no other use than throwing them away, we have been able to make a significant contribution to environmental conservation and have also led to a change in employees' awareness of recycling.

German Design Award 2023 Special Award Winner

The design of I-PRIMO 's global flagship store, Ginza Main Store, has won a Special Mention award in the Excellent Architecture (Retail Architecture) category of the internationally prestigious German design award, the German Design Award 2023.
The design award is unique in that it can only be applied for after being recommended by the German Design Council, and just being nominated is an honor in itself, and it is also known as the "award of awards" due to its strict screening process. There are three categories for the award: "Excellent Product Design," "Excellent Communication Design," and "Excellent Architecture." The winners of each award are selected from nominations from around the world.

I-PRIMO Ginza Main Store Award Winning Points

The flagship store moved to Ginza 2-chome Chuo-dori in October 2021.
The concept is "The first door to marriage."

We understand that for a couple getting married, the entrance to a bridal ring specialty store is the first door to marriage, so we designed it to embody the solemn image of the moment when you open the doors of a church, and the clean white color scheme expresses the overlapping happy times the couple will share.

The store was awarded this prize for its environmentally friendly design, which avoided petroleum-based materials as much as possible to create a space that matches the main product, natural diamonds, and used natural materials as much as possible, such as earth, metal, hardwood, and glass.
