Following our sponsorship in 2021, Primo Global Holdings Co., Ltd. is once again sponsoring “Tokyo Rainbow Pride 2022” (Event Dates: 2022/4/22 (Fri) ~ 2022/6/26 (Sun) organized by Special Designated NPO Tokyo Rainbow Pride.

◆Sponsorship Background
Based on our company philosophy of offering “PRIMO (the best) dreams for PRIMO (supreme) happiness”, and from our desire to fulfill the dreams of as many people as possible by helping them express their happiness in the shape of a ring, we at Primo Japan established our CSR initiative, the PRIMO RING PROJECT in 2009. The PRIMO RING PROJECT is a company-wide initiative that continues to carry out various activities each year. Since April 2020, we have been working to promote understanding of LGBT issues within the company by conducting e-training for employees on systems relating to spouses and families of employees, which have been changed so that they are accessible to all employees regardless of proof of relationship or other documentation. In November 2021, Primo Japan was awarded the first “Gold” in the bridal industry by PRIDE Index 2022(※1), which evaluates companies’ LGBT initiatives based on the organization’s “Work with Pride” criteria.

We decided to co-sponsor this year’s TRP2022 in support of the event theme: “Change the Future Together .”

◆About Tokyo Rainbow Pride
Pride is an annual event celebrating the culture of “sexual minorities” (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender). First held in Western countries, Pride is now celebrated each year in major global cities and has become widely recognized across the world. Since Tokyo Rainbow Pride was established as an NPO in Japan in 2011, this event has continued to expand and now also features Pride Parade; the 2019 Pride event attracted 200,000 people during the week-long event. Although the event unfortunately has had to be held mainly online since 2020 to stop the spread of COVID-19 infections, TRP 2022 is planned as an online/in-person hybrid event.
